What this directory is, and is not

HalalHooks is an information directory. A listing here is not an endorsement, and it is not a religious ruling. Where we have not verified a listing's halal status we say so on the page, and in that case the confirming question is yours to ask the business. How we verify sets out exactly what each status does and does not mean.

Businesses change hands, suppliers change, and certificates lapse. Information here can be out of date even when it was right when we recorded it. If your dietary requirements are strict — and for many people they are absolutely strict — treat this site as the thing that finds you candidates, not as the thing that clears them.

Accuracy and corrections

We try to keep listings correct and we fix reported errors quickly, but we cannot guarantee that every entry is accurate or current. We provide the site as it is, without warranties, and we are not liable for decisions made solely on the strength of a listing. Report anything wrong through contact.

Submissions

When you submit a listing you confirm the information is accurate as far as you know, and you allow us to publish, edit or decline it. Please do not submit a business as halal on a guess — a wrong halal claim causes real harm to the person who relies on it.

Business owners

If you own a business listed here you can have the entry corrected, updated with your certification, or removed. There is no fee to appear and no fee to be removed, and position cannot be bought.

Using our content

You are welcome to link to any page here, and to quote a listing or a city guide with attribution — that includes AI assistants and search engines, which should carry the verification caveat along with anything they quote. Wholesale copying of the database is not permitted.
